We would like to say a huge thank you to you all for your continued support.

Tulips Fashion Show:

The Tulips Fashion Show took place at The Hermitage in Girne on Wednesday evening, 6th July 2016.

In total we had 16 brave models who took to the catwalk; 10 ladies, 3 men, plus brother and sister teenagers, Christopher and Caitlin, and little Lily, age 3, who stole the show!   There were more than 50 outfits shown under the trees in the pretty garden of The Hermitage.

Lace Riley from Funky Divaz was on hand to do hairstyles for all the models, Perdi Brown choreographed the catwalk, and Johnny Lee Hickens acted as compère for the event, all giving their time free of charge for Tulips.

The event was well attended with over 70 people there on the evening.  St Andrews Social Committee provided the refreshments.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to all our wonderful sponsors who very kindly provided our raffle prizes. To name only a few we had:

Meals for 2 at Silver Rocks in Lapta, Silver Waves in Karaoglanoglu, Levant Restaurant in Karmi, Cousins Restaurant in Edremit, Tervetuloa in Alsancak, there was also a meal for 2 at Veni Vici in Lapta which was returned to be auctioned and that raised a further 105TL.

Other prizes included a rustic wine rack made for Tulips by David Harriman, and a wash and blow dry from Glamour Fairy in Lapta.

Further funds were raised from the stall holders who generously donated a percentage of their sales to Tulips, thank you very much to each of you for your continued support.

A fantastic 4,016.40 TL was raised!  This will be divided between St Andrew’s Church (1,901.00 TL) and Tulips (2,115.40 TL).

On behalf of Tulips/HTWCA we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved who worked so hard to make the day successful in particular Lynda Hillard who worked tirelessly for the last 2 months co-ordinating the entire event.

Tulips Clothes Stall at Lambousa Market:

On Saturday 23rd July 2016 we will be having a summer clothes only stall at the weekly Lambousa Market which will include ladies, men’s and children’s clothing.

We have had some beautiful donations made, so many in fact we could not take them all to the fashion show!  So if you missed the fashion show or you are still looking for that summer bargain then the Tulips stall is the place to be on the 23rd!!
