Drilling for five separate wells for oil and natural gas are planned for 2020 in areas which include the TRNC’s licensed blocks, according to the Turkish Presidency’s Annual Programme.
The programme, which was published in the official gazette on Monday, provides estimates and expectations regarding Turkey’s energy and mining sectors.
According to the programme, Turkey’s seismic vessels will conduct a 3D survey of an area covering 20,707km and a 2D survey of an area covering 3,000km.
Turkey is also expected to invest 13.8bn TL in its energy sector in 2020.
