Turkish Parliamentary Speaker, Cemil Cicek along with his TRNC counterpart Hasan Bozer, took questions from reporters in Turkey yesterday. Mr Cicek said “if the EU attempts to balance the EU membership for Turkey against Cyprus, we would prefer Cyprus a thousand times more”.
Cicek went on to say that the EU had been looking at Turkey for 5 years but that Turkey was no longer willing to wait forever.
