Turkish Cypriot short film to be screen at International Film Festival

The short film “Sedirin Gölgesi” (In The Shadow of Cedar), which is directed by Turkish Cypriot Müge Günay and tells of the “desperation migration” caused by the embargoes imposed on the Turkish Cypriot people, will be screened at the Twin Lion International Short Film Festival.

‘In the Shadow of Cedar’, which was filmed shot in Cyprus last April, continues to be screened at major international festivals. The film will be shown at the Twin Lion International Short Film Festival in Mumbai-India on 7-8 October. The festival will host leading names in world cinema as well as Indian directors and actors.

The film was selected as the finalist at the 10th Free Film Festival which will be held in Adana this month, and will compete with ten other short films on 18th June.

‘In the Shadow of Cedar’ will be shown at the Culture Festival to be held in London on 25th June.

Kyrenia American University (GAU) is showing the film at the GAU Millenium Building at 6pm this evening.
