The 10th Annual Dawn Vigil, which celebrates Peace and Freedom Day, will feature a first this year.
This evening (19 July) at 21.30 on Yavuz Çıkarma Plaji (Escape Beach) the Dawn Vigil will begin with a concert headlined by popular singer Yasar.
Meanwhile the vigil proper will begin at midnight, where scores of people arrive at the beach with torches. Then a new element to the vigil will begin at 2.15am when Turkish F16s will fly over Escape Beach.
