The Turkish Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of Coordinating Cyprus Affairs Recep Akdağ is holding contacts in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Akdağ who arrived in the republic yesterday morning first paid a visit to the Muratağa, Sandallar and Atlılar Martyrs’ cemeteries.
He then moved onto Dipkarpaz village.
In the afternoon the Turkish Deputy Prime Minister will be visiting the Tatlısu Municipality and the Hz. Ömer Shrine before coming together with members of the public at the Old Girne Harbour.
Later in afternoon, the visiting Turkish Deputy Prime Minister will be received separately by Prime Minister Hüseyin Özgürgün and the Speaker of Parliament Sibel Siber.
Following his meetings, Akdağ will be attending the closing session of the 2nd Economic Program Revision meeting being held by the technical committees of the two countries as part of work carried out within the framework of cooperation protocols.
Akdağ will be completing his contacts after paying a visit to the Society for National Struggle and Solidarity and coming together with teachers and students who took part in recent visits to Çanakkale, Turkey.
