Two Arrested For Drunk Driving Accidents

Two drivers were arrested for drunk driving in two separate traffic accidents yesterday evening, Kibris Postasi reports.

According to the Police Press Office, an accident occurred on Karaoğlanoğlu Street in Alsancak at around 9.30 pm on Tuesday,  when Ahmet Kulle (45), lost control of his steering due to carelessness, and his vehicle struck an electricity pole. Kulle, who was found to be under the influence of 230 mg/dL of alcohol, was not injured in the accident but was arrested by the police. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

In another accident that occurred on Dudayev Street in Dipkarpaz at around 9 pm last night, a vehicle driven by Fevzi Çobanoğlu (52), veered off to the right side of the road, crashing into a bread cabinet in a supermarket, while travelling westbound. Çobanoğlu was arrested for refusing to provide a sufficient breath sample for an alcohol test. 

The investigation is ongoing.
