No clear leader emerged at the UBP Congress held today.
Four candidates stood for leadership of the National Unity Party (UBP) – Hüseyin Özgürgün, Ersin Tatar, Faiz Sucuoğlu and Sunat Atun, however, none of the candidates gained the 3,502 vote required to become head of the UBP.
Out of 7,002 votes at the congress, the results were as follows: Ersin Tatar 2,592, Hüseyin Özgürgün 2,005, Faiz Sucuoğlu 1,340, Sunat Atun 1,016.
The congress will meet again on Saturday, November 3 for the second round.
