Eight rebel UBP members of parliament were referred to the disciplinary committee today.
They include Irsen Kucuk’s opponent for leadership of the UBP, Dr Ahmet Kasif, Turka Tokel , Hasan Tacoy and others.
The ultimate punishment could be expulsion from the party.
Currently a vote of ‘no confidence’ has been tabled by rebel members of the UBP, led by Ahmet Kasif. Parliamentary members will have to wait until next Monday to see the outcome of the motion. If it is successful, the government will fall.
Elections will be held in Autumn this year.
