A four storey building stands empty and half-finished in the Yenisehir neighbourhood of Nicosia. Construction was halted by the authorities because building permits had not been applied for.
Last week it was at the centre of a failed suicide attempt .
However, the building has not been sealed off in any way. Ironically, it is next door to the TRNC Contractors Association but is being ignored by the authorities despite requests by the public that it is properly secured.
