Unions demand Government resigns

The unions have now pitched into the election process.

Yesterday came the first shot from Aslan Bicakli, President of TURK-SEN who issued a press statement saying that the government should resign today. His point is that with the defection of the 8 rebel UBP party members, the government only has 22 Members of Parliament and is a minority government.

He feels that they are only hanging on to power before the early elections so that they can gain votes by distributing land and citizenships.

Mr Bicakli has called on any new government to investigate these corrupt and illegal practices.
