The Cypriot community leaders and other parties will by joined by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on June 30 at the second Cyprus Conference in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.
The same source which told of Guterres’ arrival at the conference also said that Guterres expected the conference to last for “close to ten days”.
The negotiators are expected to spend the mornings discussing the chapter on Security and Guarantees and then move onto other chapters in the afternoon.
Britain will be represented by a deputy minister and Turkey and Greece by their foreign ministers.
The EU Commission’s First Vice-President Frans Timmermans will be present at the opening of the conference, and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Federico Mogherini will attend the conference on June 30.
