During a meeting at the U.S. Department of State, Greek Cypriot Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced a strategic dialogue between their countries, Yeniduzen reports.
As part of this enhanced cooperation, the Republic of Cyprus is moving closer to joining the U.S. Visa Waiver Programme. This agreement will allow Cypriot citizens to travel to the U.S. for business or tourism for up to 90 days without needing a visa.
This development reflects the deepening of bilateral relations, facilitated by Cyprus’s stance on issues such as Ukraine and Russia, which opened the doors to this visa exemption.
