A vehicle caught fire while travelling on the Famagusta-Nicosia Main Road last night, Yeniduzen reports.
According to the Police Press Office, the incident occurred at around 8:50 pm. As the car was heading towards Nicosia, it suddenly caught fire.
The cause was identified as a fuel leak, and the fire was extinguished by firefighters. As a result, the engine, bonnet, front bumper, headlights, and side wings were completely burned. The front dashboard was partially burned, and the windshield shattered by the heat.
The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
