The Met office reports that inland temperatures are expected to rise between 16th -22nd August from 39–40 degrees for the first two days which then will fall to 35-38 degrees.
A low pressure system bringing in a mass of warm air is expected to remain over the TRNC.
Coastal temperatures during that period will be between 32-35 degrees.
Winds will be light, mainly from the south-west and from Monday backing north-easterly with strong gusts from time to time.
