Work on the undersea fresh water pipeline from Anamur, Mersin to North Cyprus has reached the final stages in the ongoing repair operation. Completion should be tomorrow, weather permitting.
In January, rough seas damaged the pipeline lying 250 metres deep and around eight km off the Anamur coast. Repairs have been delayed partly by bad weather and the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
