Work to distribute water from Turkey, stored in Gecitkoy Dam, to Kyrenia, Famagusta, Guzelyurt and Dipkarpaz is expected to begin on 15th May, Agriculture and Natural Resources Minister Nazim Cavusoglu has said.
The minister said that checks were nearly completed and provided there is an agreement with the Farmers’ Union on how the water is managed, he hoped that all municipalities would be able to have water by 1st August.
Cavusoglu noted that the price of the water should be determined within seven to ten days.
