New public transportation works are on the way to ease the increasing traffic congestion. Traffic Department Director Ahmet Aydın stated that these works will begin in a short time and traffic congestion will be relieved.

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport, which is alarmed by the increasing number of vehicles on the roads, is carrying out studies on public transport, which is sorely lacking in the TRNC.
