The wreckage of a small unmanned aircraft – drone which washed up near Tatlisu would have presented no threat because there was no evidence of it being armed, North Cyprus security forces have said. The aircraft was found to be carrying cameras.
It has not been possible to determine the origin of the drone, which was discovered on 26th December, since it could have drifted a great distance.
