The collaboration between the Cancer Research Foundation (KAV) and the Süleyman Cengiz Eminoğlu Foundation (CENGO-V) marked the 21st Orchid Walk held at Dilekkaya Forest, Kibris Postasi reports.
President Ersin Tatar was among the participants of this event.
President Tatar engaged with attendees by visiting various booths and spoke with citizens. Notably, there was a cancer information and awareness booth set up by the Presidency’s Science and Health Committee.
Sponsored by TELSİM, the 21st Orchid Walk, as announced by the Cancer Research Foundation, commenced yesterday morning at 9.30am at Dilekkaya Forest, which is under the administration of Değirmenlik – Akıncılar Municipality.
The event commenced with speeches from various individuals including Ali Karavezirler, the Mayor of Değirmenlik-Akıncılar Municipality, Sefer Tüz, the General Manager of Telsim, Özge Özbekoğlu, the President of CENGO-V, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Camgöz, the President of KAV.
President Ersin Tatar, who joined the walk, concluded the event with a speech at the finish line, stressing the significance of prioritising health.
Tatar said, “With this walk, we are giving the message once again that we should care about our health“. Tatar also emphasised the importance of sports and walking to keep healthy and protect against diseases.
