The Council of Ministers held a 7-hour meeting and discussed the economic crisis and the fluctuation in the foreign currency rates.
After the meeting ended it was announced that the Council of Ministers has decided to fix the foreign currency rates for renters in the TRNC.
According to the decisions taken, those who pay their rent in pounds sterling will have the rate fixed at 5.20 TL per pound.
Those who have euro rent agreements will pay 4.60 TL per euro and renters who pay in US$ will pay 3.80 TL per dollar.
On the issue of overtime payments, the Council of Ministers has decided to implement cutbacks in some sectors.
While a deduction of fees for title deeds has been introduced, they have decided to use the Stabilisation Fund to determine alcohol and tobacco prices.
