Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kudret Özersay will be travelling to New York to hold talks early next week.
Minister Özersay’s visit will take place during the week in which discussions on the extension of the United Nations (UN) Peacekeeping Force mandate will be discussed and consultations on the report, which will be discussed and decided by the Security Council.
In New York, Özersay, who has already met with the head of UNFICYP Elizabeth Spehar in Cyprus to discuss the role of UNFICYP, will meet with UN officials, as well as representatives of relevant countries.
