Following the increase in local cases of Covid-19, the government has had to tighten restrictions on the movement of the public and close all but essential businesses.
However, since December 31, 349 people have been caught not complying with the restrictions, either by breaking the curfew, crossing area boundaries or by operating businesses which should be closed. Legal action has been taken against 11 workplaces.
