President Mustafa Akinci with his wife Meral Akinci hosted a reception at the presidential palace yesterday to celebrate Kurban Bayram (Islam’s holy Eid al-Adha or “Feast of Sacrifice”).
Among the guests at the reception was the Labour leader of Enfield Council, Turkish Cypriot Nesil Caliskan (29). Ms Caliskan is the first woman to hold the post as well as the youngest council leader in London.
