The Ministry of Health announced that sea water tests conducted in August at beaches in Dipkarpaz, Bafra, Famagusta, and Iskele showed that only Ayfilon Municipal Beach was found to be “polluted“, Yeniduzen reports.
According to the statement, these tests were carried out at the State Laboratory as part of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Health and the Deputy Prime Ministry, Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment Ministry, which focuses on monitoring, sampling, and analysing seawater quality across North Cyprus.
All other beaches in these areas were found to be clean. The statement also mentioned that results from other regional beaches will be shared as they become available.
