The cost of living in North Cyprus went up by 1.33% in March compared to the previous month, according to the State Planning Organisation (DPO).
Issuing a written statement, the undersecretary of the DPO Odul Muhtaroglu, said yesterday that inflation had increased by 1.71% compared to December and the annual inflation rate had reached 29.26%.
According to the figures, there have been increases in 295 items and decreases in 108 items.
The first three goods to see the highest increase are fresh grapes by 58.31%, plums by 48.02 % and marrows by 43.07%
The first three goods to show the highest decrease are broad beans by 40.83% %, cucumbers by 28.05 % and green peas by 27.55%.
