Credit card debts have risen by 102 percent in the space of one year, Yeniduzen reports.

According to the Central Bank’s 1st Quarter Bulletin, credit card debts rose to 3.92 billion TL by the end of March 2024.

  • Over the past year, credit card debts increased by 1.98 billion TL.
  • Compared to March 2023, there was a 102 percent increase.

  • June 2023: 2.52 billion TL

Many citizens are using credit cards to cope with the rising cost of living and high inflation. As a result, credit card debts have surged by 102 percent in one year.
