A traffic accident was caused by a driver under the influence of alcohol in Famagusta yesterday, when he crashed into a police car that was parked on the road, Yeniduzen reported.

 According to information provided by the Police Press Office, at around 7.30 pm on Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Street, 23-year-old Alp Serdaroğlu, driving with 241 milligrams of alcohol in his blood, was heading west when he stopped his vehicle and began reversing recklessly. At that moment, he collided with the rear of a police car that had previously been attending the scene an accident and was stationary on the road. Fortunately, there were no injuries as a result of the crash, however, Serdaroğlu was arrested.
