The Minister of Health has not made any official statement about her death. Yeniduzen reported that according to sources close to the hospital, Meryem had been admitted into hospital complaining of stomach pain. Despite all efforts by medical staff, she could not be saved.
UPDATE: A post mortem examination has been carried out on eight-year-old Meryem Ceren Kırma, who was admitted to hospital complaining of abdominal pain and died a day later. Meryem had tested positive for the coronavirus. However, doctors were unclear as to the exact cause of her death.
