The Council of Ministers has annulled the expulsion orders issued for 12 foreign nationals.
The decision was taken in order not to disrupt family unity, taking into account that the families of the persons concerned reside in the TRNC, Kibris Postasi reported.
In accordance with the second paragraph of Article 6 of the Law on Foreigners and Immigration, Chapter 105, the Council of Ministers cancelled the expulsion orders on the condition that the persons in question pay the fines resulting from visa overstaying.
According to the decision, the expulsion decision of twelve people was lifted in order not to disrupt family unity. Last week, three people were able to enter the country on the condition that they pay the fines incurred due to exceeding their visas. The Council of Ministers lifted the expulsion decision of 27 people on September 5 and 3 people on September 19. Thus, a total of 42 people were lifted in three weeks.
