Three people were injured in a head-on collision between a fuel tanker and a saloon car in Tatlısu, causing the tanker to overturn, Yeniduzen reported.
The incident occurred at around 10.30 am yesterday on the Kyrenia-Tatlısu Main Road, near the Alagadi-2 area. Mustafa Batıbeniz, 38, was driving the fuel tanker toward Kyrenia when he inadvertently veered into the opposite lane. His tanker collided with the right side of a vehicle driven by Iris A. Elisabeth, who was approaching from the opposite direction.
The impact caused the tanker to skid uncontrollably, overturn, and come to a stop on its roof. Both drivers and a passenger in the tanker, Berkay Erkanat, sustained injuries and were taken to Dr. Akçiçek Hospital in Kyrenia for treatment.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
