Yesterday’s heavy rainfall has caused some road closures and Gemikonağı Lake has overflowed. The road from Bostancı to Taşpınar village was closed to traffic as a result of the stream flooding the road to Taşpınar village.
Police said that part of the Güzelyurt-Lefke main road between Cengizköy junction and Gemikonağı was closed to traffic.
Access is possible using the Cengizköy-Çamlıköy-Lefke route. Drivers are asked to obey traffic signs. Part of of the Bostancı-Angolem route was closed to traffic.
Severe weather conditions have caused flooding in the Lefke region. Streams and lakes are overflowing.
