An arrest was made at Ercan Airport on Sunday morning when drugs were found in a passenger’s suitcase, Yeniduzen reported.
According to the Police Press Office, 13 kilograms of drugs, believed to be cannabis, were discovered by Customs officials.
The drugs, which were packed in half-kilogram packages, were seized as evidence by officials.
The individual (M.B) aged 29, who was carrying the suitcase, was arrested.
A police investigation is ongoing.
