The United Nations Secretary General’s Temporary Representative to Cyprus Jane Holl Lute, will arrive on the island on Sunday. Mrs Lute will meet both Cypriot community leaders separately on the same day.
President Mustafa Akinci will meet Mrs Lute at 11am and President Nicos Anastasiades at 6.30pm.
Meanwhile, the Security Council has voted unanimously to extend the mandate of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP) until 31 July 2019 today.
