According to the results from the State Laboratory; four more companies have have produced water supplied in carboys containing over the limit levels of bromate*. The maximum recommended level is 10 μg / L.

*Bromate is formed when ozone used to disinfect drinking water reacts with naturally occurring bromide found in source water.
The Ministry of Health has given the relevant companies time to correct the problem. At the end of this period, the water will be analysed again and the results will be made public.
