Passerby Attacked While Offering Help

A man who fell off his motorcycle seriously attacked a passerby who was trying to help him up, Kibris Postasi reports.

The incident occurred on Reşadiye Street in Nicosia at around 8.30 pm on Friday. 

It was reported that YK (37) was hit in the face and other parts of his body by RY (28) while attempting to help him up off the ground.

According to information provided by the police, when RY fell off his motorcycle, a piece of paper he had in his possession fell to the ground. Subsequently, when the piece of paper in question was checked by the Police teams, approximately 2 grams of a substance believed to be a synthetic cannabinoid* type drug was detected and taken as evidence.

The person in question was arrested and an investigation is ongoing.
