Minister of Tourism and Environment Ünal Üstel, who is currently in Turkey for a series of meetings, is undertaking a number of important initiatives on the issue of direct flights to North Cyprus.
According to a statement issued by the ministry,Üstel met with the general director of Turkish Airlines Bilal Eksi and with officials of the Anadolu jet aviation company and submitted a package of proposals.
Among the proposals, Üstel proposed that British tourists who are visiting the TRNC’, be allowed to travel to North Cyprus directly without changing flights, as they are obliged to do at the moment.
