Two men arrested for the murder of Ayça Alav, one of the owners of the Alav Exchange Office in Nicosia last December, escaped from the court. They were both caught shortly afterwards, Kibris Postasi reported.
Brayn Gibip Camerounaise and Vinel Sidrick Mbouhomtchomite, who were arrested for the murder of Ayça Alav in her workplace and the crime of theft on December 22, 2023 in Nicosia, attempted to escape from the court.
The two defendants, who escaped from their handcuffs, were caught in a short time.
Brayn Gibip Camerounaise and Vinel Sidrick Mbouhomtchomite were arrested in Pile on January 8 for the crimes of “premeditated murder” and “theft“.
Camerounaise and Mbouhomtchomite had tied up Ayça Alav’s hands, feet, and mouth.
The police stated that the incident took place on December 22, and a post-mortem was performed on Ayça Alav on December 23. The cause of death was determined to be suffocation due to obstruction of the mouth and nose, along with injuries to the neck.
