Two traffic accidents occurred in Famagusta involving intoxicated drivers this morning, Yeniduzen reports.
According to the statement issued by local police, Deniz Dere (26) was driving along Mustafa Kemal Boulevard in the early hours of this morning. He lost control of his vehicle due to negligent driving. His car struck the curb, however, no one was injured as a result. Mr. Dere now faces legal action.
Later on this morning, another accident occurred when Eren İbak (32) drove into the rear end of a car which had stopped at a red light near the Sema traffic lights.
Despite the collision, no injuries were reported. Mr. İbak, who was found to have been under the influence of alcohol, now faces prosecution. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
