President Ersin Tatar met with British expatriates living in Karaman village in North Cyprus, BRTK reported.
During the meeting, President Tatar underscored the integral role of British expats in TRNC society, noting their significant contributions both socially and economically.
Responding to an invitation from village residents, President Ersin Tatar gathered with British expatriates in Karaman Village, TRNC.
In his remarks, President Tatar expressed his pleasure at meeting with the British expat community in Karaman village.
Tatar highlighted the valuable social and economic contributions of British citizens living in TRNC.
He also affirmed his commitment to preserving the cultural heritage of Karaman village, home to over 140 families.
President Tatar paid tribute to Peggy McAlpine, mother of Elizabeth Forsyth, who achieved global recognition by paragliding from the 760-metre summit of Beşparmak Mountain on her 100th birthday in 2007, bringing fame to North Cyprus.
Moreover, he extended gratitude to British expatriates in the TRNC for their ongoing support of the country and its people in their pursuit of justice and efforts to lift imposed isolations.
