Locals have complained about a number of poles mounted in Kyrenia old harbour which will have security cameras on top.
The Ministry of Tourism and Environment said that they had been put up without prior approval.
The poles will be moved to places deemed appropriate by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, a ministry statement said.
The MOBESE cameras are part of a City Security Management Systems project prepared by the General Directorate of Police in 2017, to install 17 cameras in pre-determined locations in the heart of Kyrenia.
