Health Minister Dr Ali Pilli said yesterday that 1,170 tests had been performed in the last 24 hours, and five people had tested positive for Covid-19.
Two cases were airline passengers, one was a contact of a previously known case and was already in quarantine, two were local cases, the minister said.
Meanwhile, 21 people have been discharged.
This brings the total number of infections in North Cyprus to 757.
In the south of Cyprus, 30 new cases of Covid-19 were detected yesterday.
